Whilst we’re not able to conduct face to face training in the classroom for the time being, we have been working in the background to convert the RYA 1 day Radar course to be delivered via on online face to face webinar platform.

The course follows the usual RYA syllabus and is certificated with agreement from the RYA Training Department. The course is taught in 2 hour sessions with tea/coffee and lunch breaks built in. Participants will need internet access and space at a table for chartwork and radar plots.

We use a radar simulator during the course and participants will still play an active part in the set up of the Radar despite not being in the same room as our Instructor. Training during the day will cover:
Switching on and setting up
Understanding the picture
Refining the picture
Radar reflectors
Radar and collision avoidance
Fixing and monitoring position by radar
Pilotage by radar

As for our classroom course, number of participants will be limited.
